Crystal L. Kalu

46,  of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on February 18, 2026.

Crystal was an affectionate, dedicated, and hard working woman who always puts the needs of others ahead of her own.

She was born on August 1, 1979 in Niagara Falls, NY to Elizabeth (Jacobs) Dixon and Billy Joe Carter.

She was known for her caring heart, love for the Lord and love for her Boston Celtics and the Minnesota Vikings.

Crystal attended local schools and was a graduate of NCCC as an LPN.  She continued on to receive an RN degree in 2021.

She married the love of her life Michael Kalu, on December 20, 2014.  Even though they never had children, she poured her love into her nieces and nephews.

Crystal dedicated her life to her nursing career.  Her patients meant alot to her.  Her most recent employment's were at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Facility and Mt. St. Mary's Hospital.

Besides her husband Michael, Crystal is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Dixon, brothers Michael Johnson, William (Kym) Carter, Andrae (Angela) Dixon, several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Crystal was predeceased by her Dad, Billy Joe Carter, step-dad Clyde (Billy "D") Dixon, uncles Arthur Carter, Neil Carter, Melvin Carter and Junior Carter; brothers Clyde Daniels, Jermaine Dixon: sister Lisa Carter.

Her family will be present on Tuesday, February 24, 2026,  from 11-12:00 PM at Christ Redemption Church, 339 22nd Street, Niagara Falls, NY, followed by Funeral Services at 12:00 PM.

Interment in Riverdale Cemetery.
