Gary Treichler Obituary


Of Sanborn, NY, passed away on  Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at his home under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice.

He  was born in Niagara Falls, NY,  on August 27, 1941, a son of the late Henry A. and Elizabeth [Burton]  Treichler.

Mr. Treichler graduated from Wilson High School.

He and his brother became the owners of H.A. Treichler & Sons Greenhouse in 1974,  after the death of their father, which they continue to operate.

Mr. Treichler joined the Sanborn Fire Company on  February 23, 1963 and was the Company's Foreman from 1967 to 1970. He became an exempt member in 1989.

He enjoyed his time wintering in Florida and summering at his cottage.

Mr. Treichler was an avid NASCAR fan and a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #162 in Pompano, Florida.

He was the husband of 63 years to the late Linda M. [Drewes] Treichler, who passed away in July of 2025, they were married on March 3, 1962.

Mr. Treichler is survived by his children Tammy, Todd (Sybil) and Terry (Kelli O'Connor) Treichler,  siblings Mervyn ( Suzanne) Treichler, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews.

He was the great grandfather of a late great granddaughter and brother of the late Jill Hanlon.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Sanborn Fire Company, 5811 Buffalo Street, Sanborn, NY, 14132, on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 2-6 PM.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Sanborn Fire Company or Niagara Hospice.

Inurnment in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.
